Feed Forward Initiative

The Feed Forward Initiative is Purple Pig’s comprehensive food security and life-stability program

designed to ensure that youth aging out of foster care — along with vulnerable families in our

Arkansas and Oklahoma communities — never face hunger as they work toward independence and opportunity.

The initiative blends food access, skill-building, and community connection to “feed forward” the resources, education, and encouragement young people need to thrive long-term.

Program Purpose

To eliminate food insecurity for transition-age youth and provide structured pathways to independence through nutrition, work experience, financial literacy, and community support.
