NextNest – Keys. Skills. Community.

Because aging out shouldn’t mean going without.

NextNest is a home-first, relationship-driven nonprofit serving Oklahoma and Arkansas youth ages 16–24 who are transitioning out of foster care. Our mission is to provide stable homes and practical pathways to independence through safe housing, life-skills education, employment support, and a lifelong sense of belonging.

Our Vision

A future where every young adult leaving foster care in Arkansas has a key, a plan, and a community that shows up.

What We Do

NextNest bridges the gap between foster care and adulthood with programs that build confidence, capability, and community:

  • NextNest Homes – Furnished, supervised transitional housing for 12–24 months with trained mentors and 24/7 support.

  • Skill Labs – Weekly sessions on budgeting, cooking, tenant rights, conflict resolution, and career readiness.

  • Keys & Careers™ – Job coaching, employer partnerships, GED/college bridges, and grants for tools or certifications.

  • Bridge Bank™ – A 1:1 savings match program that helps participants build financial security for housing and education.

  • Forever Herd™ – Alumni mentorship and ongoing community connections, ensuring no one “ages out” of belonging.
